2020 was unlike any other—remarkable and (as fatigued as we might be by this word) unprecedented at every turn. Including the arrival of the COVID-19 vaccine. And while the world eagerly looked on, yearning for the normalcy and hope this vaccine promised, we at Walgreens were being tasked with the most important role in our 120-year history.

Giving humanity their shot. Both literally and figuratively.

With Walgreens’ long history of effectively and safely administering vaccines, they were 110% committed to providing the trust and confidence people will seek. But they could also use a voice.

Specifically, John Legend's voice.

They both share a commitment to their communities and with their ability to connect with people, John provided a real opportunity to be the beacon and voice of reason to unite all of us in getting back to what matters most.

So, for those who thought 2020 lasted an eternity, for those tired of waiting, for those ready to write a different story—this is our shot.
